While I am a huge fan of Cypress Hill, and loved thier Halloween performance last year, I was really disappointed this year.
First, I shared a few emails with Goldstar, and based on the advertised fullprice ticket price, I assumed that we would have spots on the floor. Unfortuantely, we were up in the mezzanine. That would have been fine, except my seat was broken, and I had to sit in the row in front of my friends. All of that would have been fine, except there were HORRIBLE sound problems, and we couldnt hear a thing up there until halfway through the show, and by that point, I was so upset the show was ruined for me.

Cypress Hill was amazing (gigantic blunts and all on stage)! The crowd was super-friendly and we made some nice friends. Thanks once again Goldstar for an amazing night out on a budget.

Loved the concert, hated the venue. Not at all impressed with the Wiltern. The sound quality was awful and they didn't have B Real's mic up until the third song. Not happy with the Wiltern at all.

It was the best way to celebrate Halloween. The sound system could've been a little bit better, but I still had fun.

I'm a huge Cypress Hill fan and I've been to see them many a times. However, this show was a huge disappointment! The over all sound was horrible. They weren't clear almost like their microphones were clogged up. The lighting also was bad. Not very happy with the outcome.

Thank god security didn't enforce certain laws. that's all i have to say. Other than little 18 year old's and the possibility of even younger guests who were there and made myself and my friend feel a bit old. *sigh* Oh! and the sound wasn't too great but the artist themselves were cool, they played alot of old songs.

The concert itself was good. What I didn't like is that my seats were not together. When I purchased them, they were advertised as "general admission," which I understood as standing room only, but when I picked up my tickets at Will Call the night of the show, I was surprised to find that my tickets were seated in two different rows (Row M, seat 6, and row N, seat 2).
What kind of ticket outlet sells you seats that aren't together without first warning the customer? Because of the misleading advertising, I have requested a refund for my tickets, and will most likely not purchase from Goldstar in the future because of fear of this happening again. I would recommend this event, but not ordering through Goldstar.

This concert was incredible. Thank you Goldstar for saving me money on this concert. The only thing that spoiled the night is the Wiltern house rules. I phoned the Wiltern the day of the concert to see if I may bring my digital camera and the Wiltern said yes! The reason I asked was because I was taking a taxi there and wouldn't be able to leave it anywhere. Once I got there the security said I couldnt take it in and I was very upset and told them I specifically called to make sure it was okay! Other than that it was a fantastic concert!

More Details
Los Angeles based Latino Hip Hop group Cypress Hill play The Wiltern for their annual Halloween show.
Cypress Hill was the first Latino Hip Hop group to have multi-platinum albums and over the course of its history, Cypress Hill has sold more than 17 million albums worldwide, more than 11 million records in the U.S. alone.
Their self titled debut was released in August 1991 and the first single was "Phuncky Feel One," but it was the B-side "How I Could Just Kill A Man" that attracted more airplay on urban radio and college radio. Based on the success of the single and other tracks such as bilingual track "Latin Lingo" and "Tres Equis", the album sold two million copies in the US alone. Black Sunday, the group's second album, debuted at number one on The Billboard 200 in 1993, recording the highest Soundscan for a rap group up until that time. Also with their debut still on the charts they became the first rap artists to have 2 albums in the top 10 of The Billboard 200 at the same time. With "Insane in the Brain" becoming a crossover hit, the album went triple platinum in the U.S. and sold about 3.25 million copies. Their third album Cypress Hill III: Temples of Boom was released in 1995 selling 1.5 million copies and reaching number 3 on the Billboard 200 on the strength of the hit single "Throw Your Set in the Air".
After a brief break, in 2000 the group released the double-disc set Skull & Bones which featured one disc of hip-hop and one disc of their more rock-inspired material. Skull & Bones hit the Top 10 on The Billboard 200 and included both a rock and a rap version of the single "Superstar." In 2001 the group released Stoned Raiders, again incorporating rock music, and in 2004 the band released Till Death Do Us Part which mixes several styles of Jamaican music and hit Top 40 on The Billboard 200.
Cypress Hill is currently recording a new studio album that will be release in the spring of 2009.
