Good tour, more crime and history than ghost though. The tour guid really needs a mic though.

The tour was entertaining and informative-- both ghost stories and true crime. I definitely recommend it!

An interesting tour with some good historical information about the Dupont area. Wasn't really all "ghost" stories per say, some crime stories, superstition, etc. But I still enjoyed it.

Some of the information was slightly inaccurate, and in spite of being with 66% of the creative team for this tour, occasionally it seemed as if factual details were glossed over or addressed with a cavalier attitude.
I thought it strange that as the tour ended no mention was made of the fact that we were standing within 50 feet of the home of Jeane Dixon, one of the 20th Century's best known psychics and astrologers, which is now a B&B with stories of ghostly sightings.
Throughout the course of the 90 minute tour (thanks for starting on time), non-haunted tidbits were thrown in and, in that category, no mention was made of the who-even-knew-it-was-there "Sony Bono Memorial Park" as we walked around it to reach the final stop!
In any event, it was a nice evening for a walk and, although it's an odd thing to promote or advertise, by having participated through Goldstar even a less-than-enjoyable event doesn't seem like a waste of money. 90% of the Goldstar events I've attended have been great. The other 10% are things I might not have attended, but at great, discounted prices I've taken the chance and not wasted the full price of admission!

It was good--it could be a little scarier, if the guides could somehow set the mood better. But it was fun no doubt and I learned a few things about Dupont Circle in general!

I was disappointed. I have been on other ghost tours that were much more spooky.

Guide was not particularly knowledgeable, nor was the focus sufficiently on the Halloween/ghost subject of the event.

A great walking tour to see many of the historic houses around Dupont Circle. The "ghost" part wasn't laid on too thick, which is good. Tour guides were very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter.

The tour had some creepy ghost stories but was more about crime, history, and intrigue. But it was fun. The tour guide clearly enjoys what he does and tries to make sure that you enjoy it too! A good bet for a cheap, fun 90 minutes.

The tour was informative and fun. The guide knew his stuff and his monotone voice and the fact that he was all in black added to the tour. I took my mom and plan to take all of my out-of-town guests.

It was a nice night to walk around, but the stories weren't very interesting and the guide was difficult to hear.

It was a very nice evening to take a stroll through the Dupont Circle/Embassy Row area. However, there was very little in the way of ghost stories. We knew that going in, but I was hoping at least for the guide to be a good story teller. He was very nice, friendly, and knew a lot about the history of the area, but the experience would have been more enjoyable if he had been able to share his info in a more compelling way, e.g., using proper names of the people involved in the crimes/situations rather than "a man pushed a woman down the stairs".

More Details
Ever feel the presence of others? Weird, unexplained noises in your old rowhouse? Ghostly apparitions that disappear as you look at them? A chai latte that inexplicably has too much foam? Dupont Circle is known for quirky and offbeat neighbors. Why would they let death get in their way?
Come out and meet your not so new neighbors. Experienced and horrifying guides will peel back the veneer of modern day life and show you something more terrifying than a mortgage-backed security. This 90-minute walking tour will take you by the haunted happenings on the streets you walk every day. You will hear creepy stories of ghosts, and cursed families as well as some rather scary tales of true crime while we stroll past the area mansions.
And to help steady your nerves, every ticketholder will receive discounted drinks at the end of the tour at James Hoban's Restaurant and Bar.
